Next Flu Clinic for Students is Sept. 30 in Flanagan Gymnasium

The third seasonal flu clinic, for full-time students of Syracuse University and the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from noon–4.p.m. at Flanagan Gymnasium.

There is no charge for this vaccine. Students must enter through the Archbold entrance and present a valid student I.D. Students should wear clothing that will allow an upper arm to be easily exposed. 500 doses of vaccine will be available at this clinic. Students will receive a ticket as they arrive. Once 500 tickets have been distributed no more students will be admitted.

The seasonal flu vaccine does not offer immunity to H1N1; should H1N1 vaccine become available for students, subsequent immunization opportunities will be announced. Those vaccines will be administered according to guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Onondaga County Health Department.

Additional clinics will be announced as additional vaccine arrives. Updated informationwill be posted at http://flu.syr.edu.
